As many of you may already know, there’s a new site on the block!

ReviewMe is a site that pays bloggers to review a service/product and in turn pays the blogger a set amount.

At first I didn’t really care for these sites, but after reading lots of posts on this subject, I’ve been told numerous times that the bloggers are not required to give positive reviews if that’s not what they feel. 

In addition to that, the bloggers tell the reader that they are being paid to blog about XYZ product.

I applied with my two best blogs but they were both rejected!  I don’t like that they were rejected but I do like that I did not have to wait around for the response.  I’m guessing they are just too young, ah… youth… It says to try back in a few months.

If there is anyone out there who needs a mommy to try out their products, feel free to drop me an email.

My husband went to Walmart to buy some stuff and came home with this product.  He knows I love Pomegranate juice, so he thought I’d love this stuff.

I just tried it, it’s not bad.  When you first open the bottle and put it on, it smells really good… maybe more of a mango scent, but it is pleasant.

A nice thing about this product is that it is not too thick, it squeezes out very nicely.  The other thing that is nice is that the whole is small, so you don’t get a huge amount of product you didn’t want/need.

I also like the beads (you can see them in the bottle)… it looks pretty and it appears to clean the skin nicely.  It didn’t dry my skin out as I expected it to - so that is another good thing.

The one thing I did NOT care for was the bottle.  When I picked it up the second time, the plastic was very UNPLEASANT to the touch.  I don’t know how to explain, except that it had no grip, even though it was smooth it was very unpleasant to feel.

I’m not sure how much he paid, but I’d bet it wasn’t very expensive… so if you’re in the market for some body wash, give this one a try.

I LOVE this product and Kiehl’s! I bought this for myself and it went on so smooth.  Not greasy at all.  No smelly odors to compete with your other cosmetics.  Nice, easy to clean (gotta keep a bathroom germ free), and long lasting.

In fact it was so good, I didn’t want to ”waste” it on me.  Soooo I used it on my 2006 baby for after her little bath at night.  Don’t worry, next time I get some, it will be for me alone!  I am so over being a martyr mom.

I love to give her a little massage before bed time to soothe her little nerves.  The bottle has lasted about 4 months, so I’ll be heading back to Kiehl’s to buy some specific baby stuff shortly.

I went to the store in Boston, on Newbury Street about 5 years ago and bought some stuff for baby 2001 and they were so nice, they gave me a little baby t-shirt that said, “Kiehls” on it.  I will try to find a pic to post of boy 2001 to show you guys.  So if you’re ever in Boston, stop by and say hello, they were VERY nice.

Most people realize when the weather is hot that they should drink.  But hydration is important year round.  Especially for those of us who live in the northeast where the heat is on and the air is dry and we may not get our fill of juicy fruits.

As you may have realized, tea is a favorite beverage of mine.  It will warm your body up and hydrate your skin.

If you’re not crazy about teas, you could just add tea to the other things you do like!  Tea can easily be added to soups or stews.  You can also use tea for your rice, expect it to turn brown of course.

In addition to tea, you could also flavor your water.  Try flavoring with any herbs you have around… mint and basil are my favorites to use.  Squeeze your favorite citrus (lemon, lime or orange) into a gallon jug of water — nothing could be easier than that! 

Love those pomegranite fraps at Starbucks…  I know I do, try to make one at home… even Walmart is carrying Pom juice now! Not available where you live? Just buy it online at Amazon!  Blend the juice and tea with a little ice and voila… Pomegranite Frappe.

Just don’t forget to drink in the winter, it is a beauty/health must!

When my 2004 daughter was born I wanted to get a scent that I would live with forever, if I had other perfumes that was fine. but this one scent would be my signature.

I searched for a long time, nothing seemed quite right.  Finally, I stumbled on Gardenia by Chanel. It was love at first scent…

Unfortunately I don’t think this is currently available in the U.S. as it was a limited release.  It is described as “The legendary fragrance from the 20’s, a luscious floral - dew-drenched leaves, creamy petals and the charm of vanilla - conjures up fond memories of the glamorous, worldly women who first discovered it and led myriad hearts astray in seductive mists of scent.”

I now understand what the right perfume does for a woman.  I’ve been using it for almost 3 years now and totally love it.  I have a small collection of empty 1.2 oz spray bottles. 

I’m keeping my eye on that perfume, parfum pour les francais, if someone would let my dear husband know, that would be great!

I also wouldn’t mind the 3.4 oz size, to mix things up a little.

It seems the only way to get this now, is to order off the chanel website, which is fine with me, as long as they keep it available! It is just the right strength for me to put on but not feel nauseous or overpowered by strong fumes.  It is wonderful and unlike any other scent on the market.  I wish they would come out with lotions and potions with this scent.
