Nutrisystem Day 14

Today went well, I did sneak two cookies at snack time which is NOT good, but I’m hoping it won’t be a problem on the scales in the morning.

This is really a great diet but when you have so much kid stuff around it is VERY hard to stay good.  The member boards are really fun too, I’ve been spending a little time over there and neglecting my blog a little bit. 

Can’t wait to post my after photos.

Nutrisystem Day 12

Day 12 went perfectly!  I did not ingest ANYTHING I wasn’t supposed to.  I sticked perfectly to the plan!  I am so proud of myself.  I even packed my 3p.m. snack and refrained from picking at my kids’ happy meals.  We went to the Maine Mall today but I forgot my gymbucks so it was a loss.  In the commotion of getting the double stroller together and the kids in the seats, DH locked the keys in the car, so we had to split off.  I went about my shopping with the three kids and DH dealt with AAA which luckily responded perfectly within 14 minutes according to him.

Here’s a list of all the things that tried to tempt me:

1. Super Great Wall Chinese Buffet

Nutrisystem Day 9

Some how my days got mixed up!  I’m on Day 9 Wednesday, March 21, 2007

Today went very well!  I just snuck a taste of raw cookie dough!  I had a LOT of temptation today, free samples at the supermarket, baking cookies with girl2004 (they’re still flashing their goowy chips at me downstairs).

The food was alright, nothing to rave about and now I’ve understood that I should be eating an egg or some small protein for snack, I was originally eating the pretzels that are labeled “snack” for some silly reason these are considered dessert. 

This morning I was officially down 10 pounds from my start, so I am VERY happy so far.

Nutrisystem Day 5

Well, Day 5 certainly threw me a curve ball.  I was in a huge rush to get boy2001 out the door for the bus, and girl2004 ready for nursery school and did not eat anything for breakfast.  When I got home, I was feeling lazy and remembered that roastbeef I had from the night before.  I devoured at least 10 ounces of it - nothing else.  I felt really bad.  It was 10 a.m., so I had my regular Nutrisystem lunch at about 1:20. 

That put about 4:20 for snack… that’s exactly when I had to be at boy2001’s Tap class… I didn’t plan, so I ended up skipping snack altogether and eating dinner when I got home, about 5:40.  The best part was it was really yummy thin-crust pizza.  You have to assemble it yourself, just five minutes in the oven and it’s ready.  The problem is I snuck 3 fish sticks I made for the kids!

 I didn’t do anything else bad and weighed the same this morning as I did yesterday morning! whew!

I’m back on track for today.

Day 4 Nutrisystem - hope I wasn’t shortchanged

This Nutrisystem is the easiest and hardest thing I ‘ve ever done.  It is so hard to stay on plan.  I am desperately trying not to sneak any food.  I did Taebo for 25 minutes last night which was great.  I wish I could get away from it all to do more exercise.  My house is so small that the kids wake up if I get on the treadmill… I probably need to move it down to the basement but feel that my youngest, girl2006, is too young for that…

The food is really good, except for the scrambled eggs.  I need to call to see if I can do something about that… maybe I can change that.  ANOTHER thing, I found out that I received 135 items instead of the 175 items I was waiting for.  My understanding is that I got 5 weeks of 5 meals per day (Breakfast, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, Dessert).  All of the items are Snacks and Desserts… something’s up, they were closed when I discovered so I’m waiting for them to open up in the morning… The thing that threw me off is, I checked the packing list, so I assumed that was all the food you get… but now that I understand the plan it is clear that I am missing some things.

I’ll keep you all updated on what happens with this…

The weather takes a turn for the worst…

The weather is terrible right now in Maine, the St. Patty’s Day storm is here.  Just when all the snow had melted off the grass and my driveway was getting dried out from all the mud… here we go again.  I am so over all this snow and slush.  My Saturday morning Bible study was called off, so that is a real bummer for me.

 Boy2001 had a birthday party to go to tonight.  It was at a gym and had a Harlem Rocket doing tricks.  He had a great time and couldn’t wait to show me the tricks he’d learned.  The whole time he was talking about it, all I could think about was my dessert…  The Chocolate Caramel Bar, it was very tasty.  By the way, if anyone is interested in buying from Nutrisystem, I can send all my “friends” a $30 coupon.  When you use it on 28 days of food, I get a $30 coupon, I think you still get the free week.  So, drop me a line if you want one…  Day 4 - all went well today!  I stayed on plan!!

I’ve also decided that I absolutely have to:

1. get my hair cut kind of short

2. start a running regimine

I’m not sure why these two things are so important right now, but they absolutely are. 

I’m on Nutrisystem! Day 3

 I took a little hiatus, but I’m back now!

After 2+ years of debating, and convincing myself that I could do it without taking this step… I signed up and received my food 3 days ago!!

I have stuck to the diet and lost poundage already!  I wish I could add exercise, but right now it seems like I have my hands full.  The food tastes pretty good, but I am really regretting the scrambled eggs.  I made most of my breakfasts that and it is not good, all dehydrogenated — yuck… mine come out really tough in the microwave… I wish I’d gotten more breakfast bars, they’re actually good.  If I want eggs, it would be better and easier to make them fresh.

I love the New Orleans Chicken selection for lunch, it is awesome, slightly spicy.  The plan is simple to follow… the only things that could be cleared up the timing of the meals… I’ve been eating every three hours, but I’m not sure that is right, eventually I will have to get on the nutrisystem boards and ask the question from the experts.

I am really happy I’ve joined and we’ve even saved money by spending!  My husband had school tonight and normally when I feel tired, me and the kids go to a fast food to save me the hassle of cooking.  Since I had my meal, I just made spaghetti and a salad (cucumbers and celery) for the kids with grapes (15 each!) for dessert.  They were just as happy and I was glad not to spend the $12.

If anyone is curious, I signed up through ebates for 8% cash back.  I got the 5 weeks of food for $293 shipped and I will eventually get a $23 check from ebates.com  That works out to little more $55/week which is not bad if I don’t take the kids out to eat a few times it evens out quite nicely.
